HEY EVERYONE LOOK WHAT I WILL BE RECIEVING IN 4-7 WEEKS

Being financially irresponsible is the BEST EVER.

Or is blogging for losers who don't have the attention span to study? I don't know. Either way, for some reason sitting around doing nothing has made me sort of hyper. Must be the weather.

On Wednesday I was given free coffee. I was sitting in the JCR, Diabolo's was closing and I guess they wanted to get rid of their coffee, so they gave it to me. I didn't ask them for it, or anything. Actually, I was already drinking a cup of tea. Maybe I just looked really tired? I was reading a pretty boring textbook.

Also went to the Kaiser Chiefs show Wednesday night. It was ultra super happy fun. That's really the only way to describe it. I haven't had that much fun in a while, though I did drink a bit too much and it took me ages to get home afterwards.

I am going to fail my Canadian history exam, and not fufill the regional distribution requirement for my history degree, and never graduate. I guess maybe I should have actually gone to class in the first semester.

I am also never going to get a job. I found a job that I would be perfect for, though. It's at a kitchen supply store. One of those ridiculously expensive stores full of ultra awesome amazing chef's knives and high-tech coffee makers and fancy martini glasses and other cool gadgets that would be really useful if only I could afford them. People who have seen my kitchen and its dollar-store utensils may not realize this, but I'm a total kitchen geek. I could spend hours in one of those stores. And this one is hiring sales associates! However, my resume is not very impressive and it seems really unlikely that they'll call me back. It's too bad, because I think that's something I might actually be good at.

Maybe I could just... I don't know, live in a box? I could get internet access at school. Download my Doctor Who episodes there. And how awesome is the new season of Doctor Who? Um, very. Very very, even. David Tennant is cute like a baby otter, Freema Agyeman is hot and awesome and also hot, and I am not shallow at all.

I think I need another Doctor Who icon. This one is just sort of silly.

ETA: OMG DAVID TENNANT + KITTENS. WHY AM I NOT STUDYING.

A few weeks ago I ordered a copy of A Place of Greater Safety, also known as The Greatest Book in Existence That Has Been Out of Print Since Forever, on Amazon.ca for about $4 (plus shipping). It got here Monday, in much, much better condition than I expected (seriously, if I ever find my digital camera the first thing I'll do is take a picture of it because it's just that beautiful) and overall I'm pretty psyched.

So I went to Amazon.ca a few minutes ago, basically just to post a link for this post, to discover that apparently the book is back in print. The site claims that this happened in 2006, but I'm pretty sure when I was there three weeks ago it was still out of print.

On one hand, WTF. On the other hand, awesome, and hopefully someday I will meet other people who have actually read this book. On the other hand, I only paid $4 instead of $14, and I think that the cover art on my copy is way prettier than the cover art on this crazy new edition.

I finished my history paper! Finally! It's badly written and makes no sense, but it's FINISHED! I WIN AT MEDIEVAL STUDIES! Take THAT, Charlemagne!

Also: GIP! Apparently I also win at nerdiness.

I expect that any second now the Internet Police is going to show up and arrest me for excessive blogging.

In other news, I am no longer employed. Meaning that I can dedicate all of my time to doing important things like making LJ icons of Batman playing Dance Dance Revolution.

Star Wars, Episode III: The Backstroke of the West

I'm pretty sure this isn't as funny as my brain keeps telling me it is.

OMG! We got the apartment! Jacky (formerly Potential Roommate, now Future Roommate) and I met up with the landlord, signed stuff, even put down a deposit and everything! Then we went to dinner with Jacky's sort of kind of but not really boyfriend and this other guy who was pretty nice but kind of creepy because he was totally hitting on me even though he's like 35, but no one ever hits on me anyway so it was still kind of cool, and Christian paid for dinner and this is pretty much the best day ever. But OMG! Jacky and I were jumping aroud in the street, that's how happy we were. SERIOUSLY VERY HAPPY. We were jumping around. With tea. On Bloor Street. I am so stoned right now it's not even funny. Though it is sort of funny because I was dancing in the hallway. I guess it's a good thing no one lives in this building anymore.

My dad is coming to Toronto tomorrow and he's going to give me money to pay the first and last month's rent on the apartment. Which I will pay him back for, because I am awesome like that. Seriously, how awesome am I? VERY. I HAVE AN APARTMENT AND EVERYTHING.

Okay yeah this post is way too long. But still, AWESOME.
